John O’Grady, Oil on Panel, 5″x 7″, 2012
The monastic site of Glendalough was founded in the 6th century by the shores of two lakes.
This is a view of the lower lake.
The monks have long gone, but the site remains. It is a popular place for tourists and
people taking a Sunday stroll.
